Herb of the Day: Flaxseed

Posted by TriLight Health on Feb 18th 2021

Flaxseed has been gaining popularity lately due to its wide variety of uses and high amount of fiber, magnesium, minerals, and Omega-3’s.  This seed can be eaten, added to smoothies, used as a flour, and much more. Also known as linseed, you may recognize this name from construction and wood finishing where the oil is used. Flax is truly a versatile plant.  As one of the more mucilaginous herbs, flax can be easy to add to unique preparations. It is used topically and internally by herbalists. Herbalists use the seeds whole or crushed in herbal preparations.

"
I came across this site in my search for more absorbable nutrients . . I have a gene mutation of the MTHFR gene which does not allow my body to absorb nutrients well -- especially when they are synthetic in the first place! After spending high $$ on "quality synthetic" vits/minerals I am VERY excited to have found this product! I don't require the mega doses anymore! I am very happy with this product and look forward to trying more!" - Nikki
