Herb of the Day: Juniper Berry
Posted by TriLight Health on Dec 10th 2020
Juniper berries are not true berries- instead, their name is derived from their berry-like appearance. Their use dates back generations where Native American tribes are said to have used juniper berry as an appetite suppressant during times of famine or hunger. They can be found growing on the west coast of the united states especially though they grow around the world. While not an especially common herbal remedy, herbalists do use these berries in a variety of herbal preparations. The needles are also used by herbalists- and smell delightful!
