Store MegaMam somewhere cool, dry, and dark; it retains its potency for about 3 years. The date on the bottle is our potency best-by date, not an expiration date. Many mothers are able to use the same bottle for a couple of babies, if needed.

Our sweet vegetable glycerine base, made from palm kernel and/or coconut, is alcohol-free and sugar-free. This makes it easier to digest and more delicious to take! When done correctly, glycerine pulls out more water-soluble constituents than alcohol and provides a very stable shelf life. We don't add flavors or sweeteners to our extracts like many other brands. Unlike alcohol, it doesn't have ill effects on diabetics, alcoholics, and the liver, making it a great product for adults and children. It is calorie- and sugar-free, making it a good option for folks watching calories or who don't want to/ can't consume sugar.

MegaMam contains milk thistle, a daisy-family herb, the same plant family as ragweed. Some people with ragweed allergies react to milk thistle. Please start with small doses and consult your healthcare provider first.

MegaMam goes alongside Mastitix and Original Herbal Minerals for nursing support. If you also use lactation teas or cookies, talk to your healthcare provider before trying MegaMam. Talk to your healthcare provider and your baby’s doctor before trying any other TriLight products while breastfeeding. Many can be used as long as they are spaced appropriately around nursing sessions.

We suggest 1/2 teaspoon per 150 lbs of body weight, 2 to 3 times daily, during the first 6 weeks postpartum, after you consult your healthcare provider. Many mothers continue as needed throughout breastfeeding.

With MegaMam, we suggest timing your dose roughly 30 minutes ahead of nursing. Because the herbs can change the flavor of your milk, we suggest starting at a small fraction of the suggested dose, such as 1/8, before building up. If your baby develops a rash, please discontinue use.

Many lactation teas and cookies contain herbs like fennel and milk thistle, which are also in MegaMam. Please check with your healthcare provider or lactation consultant before using multiple lactation products at once.
