StartUp combines five herbs, including feverfew, blue cohosh, and black cohosh, traditionally used to help labor begin and progress once your body and provider agree it's time. This isn't a formula for general pregnancy support; several of these herbs are specifically associated with active labor and are traditionally reserved for full term.*
Because timing matters so much here, this is a formula worth discussing directly with your midwife or provider; many recommend it specifically for when labor needs a little help getting going or staying efficient.*
A couple things to know:
- Not for use before full term. These herbs are specifically associated with active labor; most practitioners recommend 39 weeks or later.
- Best used with guidance. Many women use this alongside their midwife's or provider's guidance, especially regarding dosing and timing.
- If you're unsure whether it's the right time, that's exactly the question your midwife or provider is there for.
Also consider: Labor Prep before Start Up, in the final few weeks of pregnancy, ideally with your midwife or provider's guidance. Once the baby arrives, Contract Ease is there for the recovery ahead.

Ingredients
Pennyroyal (Mentha pulegium): A traditional herb with a long history in labor support. Note: Pennyroyal is best used with a healthcare provider's approval and only for a short time.*
Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium): Traditionally used specifically at the onset of labor to help contractions along and tone the uterus.*
Blue Cohosh (Caulophyllum thalictroides): Traditionally paired with black cohosh to help labor begin and progress.*
Black Cohosh (Actaea racemosa): Works alongside blue cohosh in supporting the efficiency of contractions once labor is underway.*
Beth Root (Trillium erectum), also called Birthroot: Named for exactly this purpose, Beth root has a long history in Indigenous midwifery for the final stage of pregnancy.*
All five herbs are in a base of Kosher Vegetable Glycerine and Reverse Osmosis Water.*
