FAQ: Can breastfeeding mothers use your products?

Q- Do breastfeeding mothers use these products?

A- We have a section specifically considered pregnancy-friendly here. In most cases, doctors consider anything that was ok during pregnancy to be ok while breastfeeding.  As with anything, please check with your doctor first.

As long as you use the formulas about half an hour before breastfeeding with their recommended dosages, you can typically use them while nursing. However, the taste of the milk for the baby could be affected. And watch for allergy-related rashes. If so, discontinue use. You can also introduce it to yourself in smaller dosages at first and increase over time. For example, start with 1/8 of the dosage and increase from there, so the baby has a chance to adjust to the taste.

Q- If I take something, will my baby get it through my breast milk?

A- We do not recommend giving infants herbs directly. After talking with your baby's doctor, the herbs may be introduced through your milk. If possible, have the nursing mother take the adult dose about 30 minutes before nursing. Watch for rashes or other usual signs. Remember, infants can't give you feedback on what is happening, and their digestive tracts aren't fully developed. We do not yet know what allergies and sensitivities they may have individually. What is used for a friend's infant may not be appropriate for your baby. Please consult a health care practitioner before using the herbs.

Q- Can I take Worm Out while breastfeeding?

Many customers have done the parasite cleanse while breastfeeding; however, the one thing to pay attention to is that it could change the taste of the milk for the infant. It’s best to take it about half an hour to an hour before nursing. Introduce Worm Out in small amounts to your body and build up to see how the baby adapts to the taste. Most customers haven’t had any issues; however, you'll probably know pretty soon after taking it, and you can discontinue the use if the baby doesn't like it.
