Propolis- February's Special of the Month

Propolis- February's Special of the Month

Posted by TriLight Health on Feb 4th 2025

Propolis has been called the most miraculous substance on Earth. We have to say we are more than able to understand this claim! Not only is it miraculous in the mechanics of how it is formed, it is miraculous in all of its many uses. Bees use it to seal the entrance to their hive and do repairs as needed. Humans have historically used it for centuries both topically and internally. It is gentle, easy to use, and a teeny bit goes a very long way.

We've chosen Propolis as our February Special of the Month.

Best of all- we have TWO forms for you to choose from (more on that below.) One for 10% off, another for 30% off!!

Why are there two different types of Propolis for sale?

A few months ago, we purchased a different form of Propolis. This form is stronger and more potent, as it is more concentrated, refined, and has more wax removed. Customers have reported that the flavor is much more bitter, and its texture is different.

We decided to go back to our "old" form of propolis. You will see a 30% off clearance version listed, this is the newer form and when this clearance version is sold out it will no longer be available, so make sure to get it while you can! The other listing is for the standard form we were previously using.

Remember, propolis can be used topically. Customers who want the benefit of topical propolis may want to consider the clearance form for topical use!

How to dose and use it?

Suggested Use: 12-15 drops internally when needed. For inflammation, apply a few drops directly to affected area. For sore throat apply 5-6 drops directly to throat, hold, then swallow. (Approximately 15 drops per 125 lbs. body weight)*.

Propolis is usually thick, why is yours runny??

Since it is made from a resin, pure Propolis is extremely thick. In some cases it's too thick for people to even be able to swallow or handle!  We mix ours with reverse osmosis water and glycerine. This makes it easier to take and more pleasant of a flavor as pure propolis is often quite bitter.

What else should I know?

The eye area should be avoided when using propolis. If it makes contacts with the eyes, irritation will occur. Prolonged and repeated use of propolis may increase people’s propensity for developing allergies. As with honey, babies under one should not use propolis. You should consult with your healthcare provider before taking new supplements or giving them to your child. This is best taken as a short-term remedy when needed.
